I'm not aware of any program to automagically fix all kinds of
problems... what other problems than the mouse does it have?

perhaps you can get the mouse work again if you deinstall it
and let windows find it installing it again after reboot.
I believe that if you start controlpanel-System and on the second tab
expand the mouse section, select the mouse and press the delete-button
it will find it next start.... is a normal ps/2-connected mouse?

you can try ask at microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion
too of course... more people there....

good yule/merry xmas :-)

If it is usb mouse perhaps pressing reset before reaching the windows
boot up portion will find it. I have a keyboard that is not seen when
first turning the power on and it reaches the same message but with the
keyboard not being seen none of the keys can be seen either so reset is
the only option. Once pressed everything is just fine. I can restart
the machine as many times as I want so long as the power is not turned
off. If it is then reset is the only fix.

Good luck, merry Christmas & a Happy New Year
